New Farm Market in BrunowThe "Brunower Bauernmarkt" held an opening ceremony on Friday 29 April 2005 in Brunow. The market is being operated by the Brunower Agrargenossenschaft (Brunow Farm Cooperative) which plans to market products from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Brandenburg. The Bauernmarkt will sell predominantly food products from its own production, for example: potatos, peas, corn, ground meal and others. Other products at the opening included dog- and cat- food, and some groceries. |

The opening was attended by dignitaries Grabow Bürgermeister Schult and Gemeinde Brunow Bürgermeisterin Heike Bartczak. At left Bürgermeisterin Bartczak presents a copy of the opening announcement from the "Grabow-Land Amtsanzeiger" to Cooperative board members Helge Dieckmann and Erich Glass. |

All-in-all the opening was a sucessful afternoon. Young and old came, purchased, conversed and enjoyed a few nice hours. Those in attendance were able to enjoy free beer, pea soup and music. |
